The NCL, Inc. Texas Laurels Chapter was created
in 2004 and received Chartered Chapter recognition from NCL, Inc. in
2006. Our membership resides in South Montgomery County and attends
numerous junior and senior high schools throughout the south county
area. Membership is approximately 200 Patroness and Ticktocker members
representing great diversity from throughout The Woodlands area.

The Texas Laurels Chapter is
incorporated in the State of Texas and led by an elected Board of
Directors. The Chapter Board meets once a month to conduct the
business of the Chapter.
The mothers, known as Patronesses, meet once a
month in chapter-wide meetings. These meetings address the business of
the organization including the future direction of the Chapter,
philanthropy work, special programs and activities. Philanthropic
participation is a requirement. Additionally, each Patroness
performs some type of leadership role or position within the Chapter
that is assumed as part of her membership requirement.
The daughters, known as Ticktockers, meet
separately from their mothers. They are organized by grade level
and elect their own set of officers. Their meetings are organized
around the Chapter's Six-Year Plan which assigns a variety of
age-related educational, leadership and cultural objectives for them to
meet through programs, presentations and field trips. Ticktockers also
are required to fulfill a leadership role within their class.
